Accused Cyberbully
Cleared Of Felonies,
Moves For Acquittal
LOS ANGELES - A Missouri woman who was cleared of felony charges under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) after being accused of the "cyberbullying" of a 13-year-old on MySpace that led to the girl's suicide, supplemented her earlier motion for acquittal and dismissal of the charges against her on Dec. 15, citing a "lack of evidence" of any "unauthorized access" of a computer system under the CFAA (United States of America v. Lori Drew, No. CR08-00582, C.D. Calif.). From Mealey's Litigation Report: Cyber Tech & E-Commerce
